By accessing or using ALTA-Plot, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Terms of Service

2. Description of Service
ALTA-Plot automates office preparation of ALTA/NSPS land title surveys, processing title commitment PDFs and producing DWG, KML, GeoJSON, and PDF drafting-reference deliverables.
3. No Survey / No Boundary Determination
ALTA-Plot is a drafting automation aid — not land surveying software. Outputs are not certified surveys, do not establish boundaries, and do not replace the judgment of a licensed land surveyor.
4. Accounts and Registration
You must create an account to access the service and are responsible for activity under that account.
5. Credits and Payments
Credits are purchased through Stripe, do not expire, have no cash value, and are non-refundable except as required by law. Credits are consumed for successful legal-description processing and may be shared across products with the same email.
6. Acceptable Use
Do not use the service unlawfully, attempt unauthorized access, abuse automated tools, infringe intellectual property rights, or upload documents you do not have the right to process.
7. Intellectual Property
ALTA-Plot software and content are owned by ALTA-Plot. You retain ownership of uploaded documents and generated outputs, while granting a limited processing license needed to provide the service.
8. AI and Automation Disclosure
The service uses automated parsing, AI-assisted OCR, and inference. Results require professional review before use in any survey, legal, or engineering context.
9. Legal Description Risk
Descriptions may be ambiguous, incomplete, or historically inaccurate. Output quality depends on input quality and may not parse or georeference successfully.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided as is and as available without warranties. Output is not a substitute for a licensed land survey.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ALTA-Plot is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify ALTA-Plot for claims arising from use of the service, reliance on output, or violation of applicable laws.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts with reasonable notice. Unused credits are non-refundable unless required by law.
14. Changes to Terms
We may modify these terms and will notify users by email or posted notice.
15. Governing Law
These terms are governed by Idaho law. Disputes are resolved through arbitration or courts in Ada County, Idaho.
